Club Closure Per Gov. Jay Inslee for Covid-19 Virus

March 24, 2020

Hello Lakewood Racquet & Sport Club Members,

We hope you, your friends and families are healthy and safe. We wanted to reach out to let you know that we are here to be the best partner we can be during these unprecedented times.  Your Board and management are meeting regularly to assess this fluid situation and will keep you informed as new information becomes available.

Per the mandate set by Governor Jay Inslee March 23rd, LRC will have to extend its date of closure until April 6th or further notice.

For the long-term financial success of our member owned club we will continue our regular monthly dues to cover our fixed expenses and loss of product, lesson and USTA revenues.  In the short-term, we are focused on making sure our members and staff are safe and set up for the best opportunities for success.  You are an important member of Lakewood Racquet & Sport Club and we intend to keep it that way.  We want to do what is right for our members, staff, and the sport.  And we believe we all have a part to play.

One of the aspects of sport that we appreciate the most is the resolve and tenacity of our community. Yes, these are tough, tough times. Yet as athletes, captains, businessmen and women, we’ve all experienced hard times and those amazing moments where we come back stronger, better.

Thank you for all you do for Lakewood Racquet & Sport Club.

Please stay safe.

Testimonials

Here's what people have to say about us...

“It’s great being able to cheer for the home team and crack open a cold one with some fellow players after a hard fought match. Whether someone is picking up the game of tennis for the first time or a 4.5+ player, there’s mutual respect for everyone knowing that we all just want to get that dang green ball over the net!”

– Noel J.
