We have Staff and Legacy Professionals that teach tennis and pickleball, lead by Head Pro Michael Parretta. Our Staff Professionals focus daily efforts on teaching members and guests while our Legacy Professionals have full time careers outside of the LRC and we are happy they call us home to play their own tennis and pickleball, while also teaching students on occasion, and filling in for our staff when needed. We are grateful and proud for all the time they spend here helping the LRC family.

Head Pro
Michael Parretta is our staff Head Pro and brings over 25 years of playing experience and more than 15 years of coaching to the courts at Lakewood Racquet & Sport Club. He began playing tennis at age five, but his true passion developed during his teenage years competing for Curtis Junior High and later through his collegiate career. Michael played at Green River Community College, contributing to NWACC Championship teams from 2005 to 2007, and went on to serve as assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s teams. He completed his collegiate tennis career at Pacific Lutheran University.
At Lakewood Racquet & Sport Club, Michael is dedicated to creating a fun, energetic, and inclusive environment for all members. He works with players of all ages and skill levels—from those picking up a racquet for the first time to competitive athletes looking to elevate their game. His approach combines skill development, encouragement, and a genuine passion for both tennis and pickleball. Michael’s goal is simple: to help every member enjoy their racquet sports journey while improving, connecting, and having fun on the court.
